Veterans Development Corporation, Inc. performed as a Prime Contractor self-performing 45% of the work on this project performing Divisions 1,3,6, & 23.
The project consists of a gut and renovation of about 9,000 square feet on the second floor of Building 2, for a new Optometry Clinic.
Veterans Development Corporation, Inc. provided a temporary clinical space, which will be fully functional and located between Bldgs. 2 & 78 enclosed ADA accessible ramps and be thermostatically controlled. The demolition and construction of the permanent optometry space did not commence until the temporary clinic was completed & operational for office space. Demolition required Air Quality Control & pollution prevention – disposal of demo equipment & building debris per EPA regulations.
Veterans Development Corporation, Inc. work provided necessary supervision, labor, equipment, material, transportation, testing, site surveying and infrastructure required to complete work for Relocate/Renovate Optometry Clinic, Bldg. 2, VAMC Bedford Massachusetts, in accordance with the Contract Documents, including Technical Specifications and Drawings.
The work comprised of general construction, renovation, selective demolition, alterations, ceilings, casework, carpentry, partitions, doors, windows, louvers, finishes, miscellaneous specialties, exterior cladding, metals, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, telephone and data cabling, security systems, equipment, site utilities, site work and certain other items.
